Gus

We have a new member of the family!  Meet Gus......

He is a rescue puppy, approximately 4 months old.  He is so sweet and seems to understand how uncertain his future was in the shelter. I imagined the older dogs that had been there for some time telling the puppies and the dogs new to the shelter stories after everyone was gone for the night.  : )  I told Wayne we should start a blog for Gus...from his point of view.  The problem with that is that having Gus in the house is like having a toddler who is teething and going through potty training at the same time....not much time to be on the computer right now.  Although....he just got in his crate to take a nap after we played Hide and Go Seek and he spent some time with his chew bone.  He is very well behaved and so eager to please.

Oh, my, he is so precious!!! What a face!! We have a special spot in our hearts for people who rescue pets -- my husband and I believe strongly in adopting. Gus may be a handful now, but he's going to be a big ball of mushy love as he grows up. Good for you!

Gus is cuteness personified (or should that be 'dogified'?)...but what you're now facing is why I have a cat instead. My kids are now in their thirties, and I've no desire whatsoever for another toddler, so I'll live vicariously through you and the Adventures of Gus! ;-)

Now this little guy has already captured our hearts and we look forward to ANY stories . . . as you know there will be a treasure trove of them as he learns how to be a person. One more thing, as Susie always says, "We have good Christian cats." - we know that Gus will grow up to be a good Christian too. Love, Auntie Reta.
