Happy Father's Day!

I want to share my Dad today.  He won't see this post because he no longer gets on the computer, and he may not remember who I am today, but he knows I am one of his kids.  It doesn't matter that he calls us the wrong name or that he sometimes doesn't recognize us.  When we call him Dad he immediately relaxes and says "I love you!" with such emotion that it melts our hearts.  We know he means it and it is not just a platitude.  He's always had an amazing way of making all of his kids feel special and equally loved.  It is funny that I even say that now because I never remember wondering who he loved best or worrying that he loved a sibling more than me. He has encouraged each of us in developing our own talents and praised us when we've been successful. He never stops loving us when we disappoint him and doesn't offer advice unless we ask for it.  He has prayed for each of his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids every morning for as long as I can remember.  Even now when he gets confused trying to tell us something.....when it comes to praying, the words flow.  He made sure that we all know our Heavenly Father and led us to a personal relationship with Jesus. It was easy to accept God's love when we already knew what a father's unconditional love felt like.   I know beyond the shadow of a doubt, that when my Dad takes his last breath on earth, he will take his next breath in heaven.

Dad has a wonderful sense of humor and finds the funny side of everything.
He has always made us laugh.

Dad getting ready to give me away.
We were giggling because we were
in the women's restroom taking pictures right before the ceremony started the day that Wayne and I got married.

What a special tribute to a special man. He would smile from the bottom of his heart if he were reading this. He must think of you as a precious daughter.
