Funicolare

On October 31st, a group of us decided to ride the cable car, the Funicolare,  up 

to the top of the mountain to watch the sun set over Montecatini Terme.

The ride up there was fun!  It is very similar to the Incline in Pittsburgh, PA. 

The view at the top was spectacular!!  The sun set was beautiful!  And the small town of Montecatini Alto at the top of the mountain was delightful. 

 We walked around the town, stopped in several shops and then met our group in a small cafe for dinner.  We were entertained by the local children running around in costume, Trick or Treating.  They were having a great time.

The owner of the cafe was very entertaining too.

Then it was back down the mountain to our hotel.
